It's Maple Syrup Time!
The spiles are in, the buckets hung and the sap is "a runnin."
Come and enjoy pancakes and sausage with PURE Maple Syrup
produced from the woods of Vergas. Serving begins at 8am and continues
to 1pm. "Eat to the Beat" with local musicians. Indulge in
clouds of Maple Sugar Cotton Candy. Make friends with Smokey and Gus,
the Sled Dog mascots. Watch one of the area's most accomplished
rosemalers and check out the Chainsaw Carver spinning that saw around.

Contest?
If multiple persons have
chosen the same date and time, there will be a drawing at the Feed.
Mayor Dean Haarstick will do the honors:
First prize: One
night in the Fredholm Suite donated by the Loghouse & Homestead on
Spirit Lake Bed & Breakfast.
Second Prize:
One gallon of PURE maple syrup donated by Jake's Syrups and Natural
Products.
Third-Tenth Prizes:
Maple syrup, T-shirts and sweatshirts donated by the Vergas Maple Syrup
Assn.
Catch a ride on the Perham Express to Main Street and Vergas Environs.
Tour Jake's Syrups' Sugarhouse to see how that clear sap turns into
wonderful amber syrup.
Pass the afternoon listening to the winners of the Writing Contest
"Spring in Minnesota" read their entries-from 3rd grade up through
adults
ALL TUCKERED OUT? Rest your feet and grab a bite at Billy's Bar, Loon's
Nest or Vergas 66.

experience!
