June 21st
Vergas-15, Perham
Twins-4
Vergas back
in winning ways. Vergas moved to 5-1 with a win over Perham
Twins. Matt Shipman gave up 3 runs in the 1st, but settled
down to only give up one more run the rest of the game.
Vergas bat's came out as they ended up with 10 playerg
getting 10 hits leading the way was Taylor Magnuson, Zach
Ziegler and Luke Sailer with 3 hits each. Ryan Wokasch and
Cody Norquist added 2 a piece. |

June 19th
Vergas loses
to Richville. The bubble burst as Vergas lost their 1st game
of the season. Vergas got off to a 1-0 lead in the 1st.
Richville got 3 in the 3rd after that it was all Richville
as they went on to win 20-1. Vergas was lead by Taylor
Magnuson who went 2 for 2 against Richville's finest |

June 14th
Vergas goes
4-0 with a win over Dent. The game was a pitchers duel until
the 5th innings with Vergas leading 3-2 going into the 5th,
they exploded and scored 8 runs. Taylor Magnuson struck out
9 in 5 innings work. Vergas was lead in hitting by Cody
Nordquist 3 for 4 and Erik Moltzan 2 for 3. Final Score 11-2 |

June 12th
Vergas tops
the Perham White Sox. It took a couple of innings for Vergas
to get going in the game. They didn't score in the first two
innings, but got 3 in the 3rd, 5 in the 4th, and ended up
winning 12-0. Erik Moltzan threw the shutout for Vergas,
while Taylor Magnuson, Cory Wokasch and Grant Overland all
had 2 hits for Vergas. |
Wednesday, June 7th
Vergas - 17
Perham Yankees - 0
Vergas started
hitting the ball hard early and often. Taylor
Magnuson led off with a triple, Erik Moltzan
singled, Zach Ziegler had a walk, and Cory
Wokasch had a double off the fence. They scored
three times in the first inning and never looked
back. Hitting leaders were Grant Overland, Erik
Moltzan, Steve Moe, and Cody Nordquist all went
2 for 3 on the night. Taylor Magnuson struck out
4 batters in 2 innings of work.

Monday, June 5th
Vergas-16
Frazee(2) - 2
Vergas was lead
in hitting by Zach Ziegler and Matt Shipman with
3 hits a piece. Grant Overland chipped in with 2
hits. On the mound Vergas had an excellent
performance from Erik Moltzan with Luke Sailer
finishing the last 2 innings.
